I am Marlon. I studied electronics and computer-science, and worked as a software developer for a long time in this peculiar world. A sudden shift of normality in my rat-race life made it possible for me and my wife Alexia to seize the opportunity to get out. My dream? To live a self-sufficient, realistic hard-working life in the Karoo desert, far away from the vexing things of conventional life where I can control my time and be happy, healthy and free. We previously achieved two years of self-sufficiency on our smallholding, Litengard. Simple-Earth is my approach, created to encompass all the values, goals, projects and outcomes I involve myself in. It started as a blog and grew into my video and article project. Simple-Earth is my "way of life", which I now proudly and passionately use to publicise my videos, articles, photos and everything else I do, hoping it will reach others that feel the same way I do. Simple-Earth offers nothings more than an honest and caring approach to living in the moment and not for the future, whoever you may be and wherever you live.
